ASK YOUR CHURCH LEADERSHIP TO PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER AN ANTI-RACISM PILLAR FOR THEIR SANCTITY OF LIFE MINISTRY PLATFORM & CONVERSATION.
In our culture, it has become evident that gaps exist in the Church’s strategy to fully protect, preserve, and promote human life. As shepherd’s, we guard the flock with a watchful eye, not only looking for the wolf we know, but the wolf we do not know. Over the last several years, we have been reminded that the wolf of racism continues to destroy our flock from within the Church. Not only the Church, but the wolf of racism is affecting the communities we serve. As such, we must respond with spiritual force, and we must respond strategically.
WANT TO ENGAGE?
Most important, as Christians our engagement must look different than the world. The M68 Project is NOT asking that you make any demands to your church leadership. We believe that God has delegated authority to those chosen for church leadership and therefore we honor that authority with grace. We believe our mission pleases God and know He has the power to influence our church leaders. We are simply called to plant seeds.

An email could say:
"It is clear to me that the sin of racism exists in our community (and probably our church). As the Body of Christ we must respond with the authority of scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit. We cannot continue a reactive or passive posture towards this sin. We must be proactive. I am asking that you and other leadership prayerfully consider an anti-racism ministry. To help guide your thoughts and planning, please see the attached strategy. We are thankful for your leadership and continue to pray for the your wisdom and discernment. In love." A phone call could communicate:
"Over the last [period of time] I have felt conviction of my own prejudice and now see prejudice in our community that I did not previously see."
"I can see the devastation of racism in our community and believe the Church is uniquely qualified to provide healing."
"I feel like our church is mostly reactive to this issue. We discuss it when a tragedy happens but then lose momentum in our action."
"I believe the best path forward is an actual anti-racism strategy. Can I send you a framework that I've seen and really like?"

The M68 Project team are not ministers. We do not claim this strategy to be perfect. In fact, we encourage churches to adjust based on their capability. We are simply attempting to provide a framework for churches to build upon.
